INCONTROL OVERVIEW

InControl uses smartphone and in-vehicle technology to remotely connect the vehicle to a number of services and convenience features.

InControl features include:

  • InControl Remote smartphone app: The app features allow the user to remotely find information about the vehicle’s health and status on the smartphone. The smartphone app also displays vehicle information, including the Electric Vehicle (EV) battery charge level, range, and the odometer value.   • SOS emergency call: If the vehicle is involved in an accident and the air bags deploy, SOS emergency call can send information to the emergency services, including location, as well as connecting the user by phone. See SOS EMERGENCY CALL .

  • Optimized Jaguar Assistance: If the vehicle breaks down, the user can make a direct call to the Jaguar assistance team by pressing the Optimized Jaguar Assistance button. Alternatively, the user can make a direct call from the Assistance screen within the InControl Remote smartphone app. See OPTIMIZED JAGUAR ASSISTANCE.

  • Stole Vehicle Locator: Assists with locating the user's stolen vehicle. See STOLEN VEHICLE LOCATOR .

  • InControl Apps: Allows for operation of a number of smartphone apps via the vehicle’s touchscreen. See INCONTROL APPS.

  • Connected Navigation: A selection of features that are available to enhance the navigation system. For further information on Connected Navigation, please refer to the navigation section the Owner's Handbook. See CONNECTED NAVIGATION.

  • Live Apps: Contains a range of embedded applications that are displayed as soft keys on the touchscreen. Live Apps does not require the connection of a smartphone to the vehicle and offers an expanding range of apps such as News, Weather, Flight Tracker and Online Media. See LIVE APPS .

  • Smart Settings: Allows the user to set up a profile to store and retrieve the user's personal vehicle settings. See SMART SETTINGS .

  • Wi-Fi Hotspot: Provides in-vehicle access to 4G internet, enabling up to eight wireless devices to be used simultaneously in the vehicle. For further information about Wi-Fi Hotspot, please refer to the connectivity section the Owner's Handbook. See WI-FI HOTSPOT.

  • Android Auto: Allows for the vehicle’s multimedia system to display and control the user’s Android phone. See ANDROID AUTO.

  • Apple CarPlay: Allows for the vehicle’s multimedia system to display and control the user’s iPhone. See APPLE CARPLAY.
