Make sure to read and fully understand the following warnings. Failure to comply with the safety instructions may result in an accident, leading to serious injury or death.

Make sure the relevant safety warnings have been read and understood before removing the spare wheel. See WHEEL CHANGING SAFETY.

Keep the rear seats in an upright position when a spare or recovered wheel is on the load board.

Do not store the wheel while the vehicle is raised on the jack.

Before removing the spare wheel, take note of its storage position. The wheel to be changed must be correctly stored and secured in its place.

The spare wheel is stored in the spare wheel bag inside the luggage compartment.

To remove the spare wheel:

  1. Loosen the straps through the straps' locking buckles.

  2. Separate the four carabiners from the lashing eyes.

Do not remove the four carabiners from the straps.

  3. Lift and take out the bag with the help of the lifting handle.

  4. Unzip and open the top lid of the bag.

  5. Open the velcro strap on the bag.

  6. Remove the spare wheel and the tool kit assembly from the bag.

The tool kit is stored in the tool kit bag. The tool kit bag is attached to the spare wheel's spoke with velcro straps.

  7. To access the tool kit, release the velcro straps.

  8. Remove the jack and the wrench from the tool kit bag.

Accommodating the spare or the recovered wheel:
  1. Place the jack and the wrench back into the tool kit bag.

  2. Attach the tool kit bag to two spokes on the spare wheel, using the velcro straps.

The tool kit bag cannot be attached to the spokes once the dirt cover is in place.

  3. Place the spare wheel on the floor with wheel spokes facing upward.

When storing the recovered road wheel use the bag provided to prevent damaging or soiling the interior of the vehicle.

  4. Remove the dirt cover from the compartment at the edge of the inner side of the spare wheel bag and place the spare wheel inside.

  5. Unzip the spare wheel bag with the bottom zip for increased space. Place it over the spare or recovered wheel, with the open lid facing the wheel.

Keep the velcro strap of the spare wheel bag open while placing the bag on the spare wheel. Failure to do so may not allow the bag to cover the spare wheel.

  6. Close the velcro strap, then invert the bag and spare wheel so that the zipped opening is facing upward.

Hold the spare wheel firmly while tilting the spare wheel bag. Failure to do so may allow the spare wheel to slip from the spare wheel bag and cause personal injury.

  7. Close the top lid and the upper zipper of the spare wheel bag.

  8. Lift the spare wheel bag by the lifting handle and place it in the luggage compartment.

Make sure that the lifting handle and the Jaguar logo are facing the open tailgate.

  9. Engage the four carabiners to the lashing eyes.

  10. Tighten the straps over the spare wheel bag and secure them with the locking buckles.
