AFTER DEPLOYMENT OF THE PEDESTRIAN PROTECTION SYSTEM

CAUTION

Do not attempt to open the bonnet if the pedestrian protection system has been deployed. Opening the bonnet while its rear end is raised may damage the bonnet latches.

After deployment of the the pedestrian protection system, the vehicle must be stopped as soon as it is safe to do so.

When the pedestrian protection system is deployed, the hazard warning lights activate. The warning lights can only be switched off by pressing the START/STOP button to switch the electric motor off and on again.

The instrument panel displays a warning message.

The vehicle must not be driven when the bonnet has been deployed. The vehicle should be transported to the nearest retailer/authorised repairer.

NOTES

If the instrument panel displays a warning message when the bonnet has not been deployed, take the vehicle to the nearest retailer/authorised repairer immediately. The vehicle can be driven.

If any significant damage occurs to the front bumper, it should be inspected by a retailer/authorised repairer as soon as possible.
