Always run the engine during prolonged use of the touch screen. Failure to do so may discharge the vehicle's battery and prevent the engine from starting.

The touch screen display and the number of screen pages vary, depending on the specification of the vehicle.

The touch screen remains active until the ignition is switched off and the driver's door is opened.

  1. Home button: Press to select the HOME screen.

  2. Settings button: Press to select the GENERAL SETTINGS menu. See ALLGEMEINE EINSTELLUNGEN.

    If park assist is fitted. See EINPARKASSISTENT.

  3. Status icons: When a phone is connected, the battery level and network signal strength is displayed. Also, when selected, TA (traffic announcements) is displayed. See MEDIEN-EINSTELLUNGEN.

  4. Media icon: Touch the screen, or press the button, to select the media system. If the media system is already switched on, touch to select the current media source.

    NOTES

    When the system is active, current information for the media being played is displayed.

  5. Clock: The clock can be adjusted via the System option, in the GENERAL SETTINGS menu.

  6. Front Climate: Touch to select the FRONT CLIMATE screen. SeeKLIMAREGELUNG .

  7. Screen title.

  8. Media source button: Touch to select the media SOURCE screen.

  9. Phone: Touch the screen or press the button, to select the PHONE screen. See TELEFONSYSTEM-√úBERSICHT.

  10. Navigation or media settings: Touch the screen, or press the button, to select the navigation system. The current destination route, or the NAV MENU screen is displayed. See NAVIGATIONSSYSTEM.

    For vehicles without navigation, press to display the MEDIA SETTINGS menu. See MEDIEN-EINSTELLUNGEN.

  11. Right arrow: Touch the arrow or swipe the touch screen to the left, to select the next screen to the right. From the HOME screen, this is the EXTRA FEATURES screen. See SONDERFUNKTIONEN.

  12. Settings icon: Touch to select the GENERAL SETTINGS menu.

  13. Screen indicator: Indicator for the number of available screens. The solid dot indicates the position of the currently displayed screen.

  14. Left arrow: Touch the arrow or swipe the touch screen to the right, to select the next screen to the left.

  15. Power or Camera button: Press to switch the touch screen on and off. If surround cameras are fitted, the touch screen can be switched off in EXTRA FEATURES. Further information on EXTRA FEATURES can be found in the relevant section of the Owner's Handbook. See SURROUND-KAMERASYSTEM.

  16. Mute or parking aids button: Press to mute the sound.
