LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT COVER

WARNING

Never place objects on top of the luggage compartment cover. During an accident or sudden manoeuvre, loose objects can cause serious injury or death.

CAUTION

Make sure to pull the lifting straps clear from the two halves when folding the cover and that nothing else is trapped in between. Failure to do so may result in damage to the top surface of the luggage compartment cover.

To remove the luggage compartment cover:

  1. Release the two cords from the pins on the tailgate.

  2. Pull the luggage compartment cover back to release the locking pins.

  3. Lift the luggage compartment cover out of the locking pin guides.

Storing the luggage compartment cover:
WARNING

Do not store the luggage compartment cover loose in the vehicle. During an accident or sudden manoeuvre, the luggage compartment cover may cause serious injury or death.

It is possible to store the folded luggage compartment cover under the luggage compartment floor in the dedicated storage area.

This is dependent on vehicle specification.

To store the luggage compartment cover:

  1. Lift or remove the floor cover in the luggage compartment to access the storage area for the luggage compartment cover.

  2. Pull the lifting cords clear of the two halves to fold the luggage compartment cover. Place in the storage area, as shown.

    NOTES

    When storing the cover, make sure the lifting cords are not trapped between the luggage compartment cover.

NOTES

The luggage compartment cover must be stored in the orientation shown in the illustration.

Refitting the luggage compartment cover:
NOTES

The cords cannot be reconnected to the tailgate when the luggage compartment cover is folded. Make sure the luggage compartment cover is unfolded and flat before refitting the cover.

To refit the luggage compartment cover:

  1. Locate the locking pins on the luggage compartment cover into the recesses.

  2. Push back the luggage compartment cover to lock the cover into place.

  3. Fit the lifting cords for the luggage compartment cover over the pins on the tailgate.

  4. Pull down lightly on the cords until they click into place.
