CHANGING THE FOLLOW MODE GAP

WARNING

The driver is responsible for selecting a gap appropriate to the driving conditions. An appropriate gap reduces the risk of an accident.

The follow mode set gap can be changed to suit the driving conditions. See USING ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL.

Four gap settings are available. The instrument panel displays the selected gap setting when the gap adjustment buttons are operated.

Each gap is indicated by an extra bar in front of the vehicle icon in the instrument panel. After the ignition is switched on, the default gap (gap 3) is automatically selected ready for adaptive cruise control operation.
