INSTALLING THE REMOVABLE ROOF CANOPY

WARNING

Before you install the Removable roof canopy assembly, make sure that the vehicle is stationary and Park (P) is selected. Apply the Electric Parking Brake (EPB).

  1. Lower both door windows and open the Luggage compartment.

  2. Push the inner rear window into position (5) between the rollover protection bars. Make sure that the weatherstrip points to the front of the car.

  3. Put the two outer rear windows (5) in position. The pin locates in the rollover protection bar and the foot aligns with the rear bulkhead exterior panel. Secure them to the rollover protection bars with the locking levers (4).

    NOTES

    To lock the levers, turn the left locking lever 90°counter-clockwise and the right locking lever 90° clockwise.

    CAUTION

    Make sure that the rear windows are secured correctly.

    CAUTION

    Do not drive the car with the rear windows or Removable roof canopy assembly partially secured. The canopy or windows can become detached and cause injuries.

  4. Lift the release levers (1) in the Luggage compartment.

  5. Install the Removable roof canopy assembly on one side of the car first.

  6. Attach one side of the Removable roof canopy assembly to the windshield and secure it with the locking handle (2).

    NOTES

    To lock the canopy to the windshield, turn the left locking handle 90° clockwise and the right locking handle 90° counter-clockwise.

  7. Unroll and drape the Removable roof canopy over one side of the seating area and rollover protection bars.

    NOTES

    Make sure that the hoops at the rear of the canopy do not touch the bodywork.

  8. Connect the hoop to the release lever (1) in the Luggage compartment, on the same side. Do not lock the release lever yet.

  9. Attach the pocket (3) in the side of the Removable roof canopy over the tab on the side of the rear window.

  10. Unfold the Removable roof canopy to the other side of the car.

    NOTES

    Make sure that the hoop at the rear of the canopy does not touch the bodywork.

  11. Connect the Removable roof canopy assembly to the windshield. Secure it with the locking handle (2).

  12. Attach the pocket (3) in the side of the Removable roof canopy over the tab on the side of the rear window.

  13. Fasten the studs on the rear of the Removable roof canopy assembly to the rear window. Make sure that the seam on the canopy aligns with the rollover protection bars.

  14. Connect the Removable roof canopy to the other release lever (1) in the Luggage compartment.

  15. Pull the release levers (1) in the Luggage compartment and push them down until they touch the metal frame. When you cannot move the levers down any more, they are locked.

  16. Close the Luggage compartment.

  17. Lift both door windows.

NOTES

Make sure that the Removable roof canopy assembly is installed correctly before you drive the car.

It is recommended that the Removable roof canopy assembly is installed when the vehicle is in storage.
