Warning labels attached to your vehicle bearing this symbol mean: Do not touch or adjust components until you have read the relevant instructions in the handbook.

Labels showing this symbol indicate that the ignition system utilizes very high voltages. Do not touch any ignition components while the ignition switch is turned on.

Labels are applied to draw your attention to important subjects (e.g., tire pressures, air bags, engine compartment hazards, etc.).

Additional information labels may also be found at these locations:

  1. Air conditioning label - Left side inner fender.

  2. Air bag label - Both sun visors.

  3. Vehicle identification plate, including the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and recommended maximum vehicle weights - Left side B pillar.

The VIN number is also etched onto a plate, visible through the bottom left side of the windshield and stamped into the vehicle's body, next to the suspension turret.

The VIN number can also be viewed via the Vehicle Information menu. See INSTRUMENT PANEL MENU.

  4. Tire pressure label - B pillar driver’s side.

  5. Air bag warning labels - B pillar. The side head/thorax air bag label is on both sides, the passenger air bag label is on the passenger's side only.

  6. Engine number - Front of the right side camshaft cover.

  7. Fuel specification label - Inner face of the fuel filler flap.

  8. Battery warning symbols - Top face of the battery.

It is important that you are familiar with these subjects to make sure that your vehicle and its features are used safely. Using the index at the back of this handbook, refer to the relevant topic for more information.
