FITTING TETHER ANCHORAGE CHILD RESTRAINTS
Always follow the child seat or restraint system manufacturer’s instructions when fitting tether straps. In the event of an accident, an unsecured object could cause serious injury or death.
Always pass the tether strap over the top of the seatback and underneath the head restraint, when fitting a child seat or restraint. In the event of an accident, an unsecured object could cause serious injury or death.
If a child restraint is fitted to the center rear seat, the center armrest must be moved to the stored position, in the seat's backrest. In the event of an accident, an unsecured object could cause serious injury or death.
Always store a removed head restraint securely. In the event of an accident, an unsecured object could cause serious injury or death.
If a head restraint is removed to fit a child seat, make sure it is refitted before the seat is used by a passenger. See REAR HEAD RESTRAINTS.
Tether strap anchor points are located behind the rear head restraints. Make sure to use the anchor points to attach tether straps from a child seat or restraint system.

To fit a tether strap:
Fit the child restraint securely in the rear seat.
Raise the head restraint.
Pass the tether strap over the seatback and beneath the head restraint.
Saloon only: Release the anchor point cover.
Attach the tether strap hook to the anchor point. Make sure the hook is facing toward the rear of the seat.
Tighten the tether strap according to the child restraint manufacturer's instructions.
