FRONT CLIMATE CONTROL
In the interest of safety, only operate or adjust the system when it is safe to do so. Driver distraction can lead to accidents, potentially causing serious injury or death.
Do not adjust the touch screen controls, or allow the system to distract the driver, while the vehicle is moving. Driver distraction can lead to accidents, causing serious injury or death.
Air ionisation technology is designed to improve the air quality within the cabin.
To access the FRONT CLIMATE screen, select Climate from the HOME screen. See TOUCHSCREEN HOME MENU.
Sync: Select to synchronize the front and rear passenger climate settings to the driver's settings.
Air distribution to the front windshield icon: Touch to switch on or off.
External temperature display.
When the external temperature is low enough that ice may be present on the road, an amber snowflake warning lamp illuminates in the Instrument panel. See EXTERNAL TEMPERATURE (AMBER).
Air ionization icon: Touch to activate air ionization.
Air distribution to the face icon: Touch to switch on or off.
Air distribution to the feet icon: Touch to switch on or off.
More than one setting may be selected, at a time, to achieve the desired distribution.
Power icon: Touch to switch the climate control system on or off.
Down arrow icon: Select the down arrow or swipe the screen upwards to view the REAR CLIMATE menu. Select the up arrow or swipe the screen downwards to return to the FRONT CLIMATE menu. See REAR CLIMATE CONTROL.
Settings icon: Touch to access the SETTINGS pop-up menu and then select Climate Settings. See CLIMATE SETTINGS.
Blower speed indicator icon: Only displays in manual mode.
Press repeatedly to increase the temperature (60°F - 84°F [16°C - 28°C]) for the front left-side of the vehicle. The temperature is displayed on the touchscreen.
On the driver's side only, HI (high) or LO (low) can be selected.
Press to synchronize the driver and front passenger climate zone settings. On vehicles with rear climate control, press to select AUTO mode (see 17) for the left-side.
Heated windshield button: Press to switch on or off. If left on, it deactivates after a timed period, dependent on the outside temperature.
Do not attach labels to the windshield. Do not scrape or use abrasive materials to clean the inside of the windshield.
The heated windshield operates only when the engine is running.
In cold ambient conditions, the windshield heater switches on automatically when the engine is started. This function can be switched on or off via Climate Settings.
Heated rear window button: Press to switch on or off. If left on, it deactivates after a timed period, dependent on the outside temperature.
Do not attach labels to the rear window. Do not scrape or use abrasive materials to clean the inside of the rear window.
The heated rear window operates only when the engine is running.
In cold ambient conditions, the rear window heater switches on automatically when the engine is started. This function can be switched on or off via Climate Settings.
Press or touch to access the FRONT CLIMATE screen on the touchscreen.
Press to select the heated / climate seat screen on the touchscreen. See HEATED SEATS and CLIMATE SEATS.
AUTO mode: Press to switch automatic mode on or off. Dependent on the vehicle’s specification, the various options for AUTO mode can be set via the CLIMATE SETTINGS menu. See CLIMATE SETTINGS.
AUTO mode is the recommended normal operating mode. In AUTO mode, the system regulates cabin climate based on feedback from the vehicle’s sensors, helping maintain a stable and comfortable cabin environment.
When a climate setting is adjusted manually the system exits full AUTO mode, this overrides automatic climate adjustment and delivers only the selected settings.
The temperatures displayed on the FRONT CLIMATE screen are indicators only. When viewing the REAR CLIMATE screen, these indicators become active and can be changed directly via the touchscreen.
Press repeatedly to increase the temperature for the front right side of the vehicle.
Press repeatedly to decrease the temperature for the front right side of the vehicle.
A/C button: Press to switch the Air Conditioning (A/C) system on or off. The A/C system can be switched on or off independently of the other climate control functions.
MAX A/C button: Press to switch the maximum A/C mode on or off.
Press to increase the blower speed.
Blower speed is automatically set in AUTO mode. Adjusting the blower speed cancels AUTO mode.
Press to decrease the blower speed.
Press to switch maximum defrost for the windshield on or off.
Recirculation button: Select to recirculate air inside the vehicle.
Press briefly to select timed recirculation. Recirculation switches off automatically after a set time, dependent on the ambient temperature.
Press and hold to select latched recirculation. Recirculation remains on until the button is pressed again.
Prolonged use at low temperatures may cause the windows to fog.
Press repeatedly to decrease the temperature for the front left side of the vehicle.
Some of the buttons turn green, or have an LED indicator lamp that illuminates to confirm selection.
Some functions are not available on all vehicles.
If the climate control system is switched off, pressing an AUTO button or the defrost button switches the climate control system on.
Water expelled by the A/C system may collect underneath the vehicle when parked. This is not a cause for concern.

The glovebox temperature can be controlled using the vent located in the glovebox. Rotate counter-clockwise to open, or clockwise to close the vent.
The glovebox temperature can only be reduced if the engine is running and the A/C is switched on.
